This Summer, our Founder Angelique S. spent her time studying at the Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics at Yale Institution for Social and Policy Studies.
Once again, Ms. Santiago joined a global cohort. Just how she likes it! This time, the purpose was to gain exposure to contemporary bioethical issues. She was able to visit the The Hastings Center for Bioethics, not too far away from her hometown in the Hudson River Valley. Here, she learned about bioethics mediation and ethics consultations in clinical settings. She deliberated over the ethics of exhibits held at the Harvey Cushing/John Hay Whitney Medical Library at Yale. Finally, she presented a poster on "Medical Interpretation" at the Anlyan Center at the Yale School of Medicine. This opportunity was a very nice way to continue the research on medical error she started at The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University
Ms. Santiago is thrilled to be an alumni of the bioethics program situated at Yale University and looks forward to identifying ways to apply her learnings in bioethics to the ADR work she carries out throughout the Atlantic World.
Stay tuned!
